You've probably already found yourself imagining what it would be like; Maybe the person you're in a relationship with has mentioned it as something they'd like to try; or, perhaps, it is one of the sexual practices with which you are already familiar. Whatever the case, you're in the right place. We talk about anal sex, a topic often shrouded in mystery.
If you are interested in taking your first steps in this type of sexual activity, there are some tips to keep in mind that will make your first act more enjoyable. Here is a short guide to enjoying anal sex safely.
The taboo
The practice of anal sex is perhaps one of the most misunderstood and one of the most taboo practices. When we talk about heterosexual couples, this is an experience whose objective is to enjoy more intense penetration and, therefore, they say, more rewarding.
For many years, anal penetration was considered a sin and was strongly condemned. Today, it is part of the intimacy of many couples who derive great pleasure from this practice.
friendly lubricant
The anal area has many nerve endings and the anus is the strongest sphincter in the body. However, many people report feeling some discomfort and pain when exploring this region. This is why it is essential to use a lubricant, as the anal canal is less flexible than the vaginal canal and does not lubricate itself.
There are several lubricants available on the market. Silicone ones, for example, facilitate penetration and substantially reduce discomfort. However, keep in mind that most of this type of lubricant is not compatible with the latex in condoms. Aroma lubricant, in turn, can avoid the fear of odors typical of this area of our body.
Products with an anesthetizing effect are completely discouraged, because without the perception of discomfort you are likely to suffer an injury.
For people with anus pathologies, hemorrhoids or fissures, it is important to take extra care to ensure that complaints do not worsen.
Sexually transmitted infections
Sexually transmitted infections can also be contracted during anal sex, even more frequently. This happens due to microlesions, which can be a gateway for viruses.
Use protection
Condoms must be resistant. Therefore, the thinnest ranges must be avoided.
At an earlier stage, there are those who choose to wash the rectum using their own products, but the condom should – never – be forgotten. Never switch from anal to vaginal sex with the same condom, as this can cause bacterial infections at the vaginal level.
Enjoy the pleasure calmly
For this to become a pleasurable experience – called “unique” by some –, a lot of trust in the other person is necessary, and it is equally important to choose the right position to control penetration.
In a preliminary phase, stimulation should be started with the fingers. A small vibrator or stimulator can also be used. After the glans of the penis or a penetrating object enters the anus, if there is sufficient lubrication in the rectum, there will be greater adaptation and the initial discomfort may pass.
The structure around the rectum can enhance intense orgasms, and clitoral stimulation, at the same time, can also help make this act even more interesting for women.
Anal practice and anal stimulation are equally rewarding for men, who are still embarrassed by the taboos associated with homosexuality. Heterosexual couples can also use vibrators and stimulators for this exchange and men just have to trust and enjoy this guilt-free pleasure.
Remember, if anal sex really isn't for you, or if it makes you feel uncomfortable, you should never feel pressured into it. On the other hand, if you feel good, make the most of the pleasure of this experience.
