The story behind the power of crystals is ancient. It is believed that these harness and greatly magnify the energy of the Sun and Moon and benefit us on several levels, connecting us to Mother Nature. From generation to generation, the knowledge and strength that these precious minerals acquire makes them capable of healing us, thanks to their high vibration. However, for this connection to be possible, they must be properly cleaned and refreshed.
Typically, crystals are used to calm our mind, body and spirit. For them to fulfill their function, it is important that they are aligned with us and present the necessary conditions to absorb the negativity that we want to release.
If we intend to use a crystal for a certain healing, we need to clean and recharge it regularly, in order to transport it to its natural state, which is its purest state.
The more we use a stone, the greater the amount of energy it concentrates within itself, which is why it is important to clean it at least once a month. After cleaning it, it should be lighter to the touch and should be placed next to plants or windows that allow them to absorb natural healing vibrations.
Crystal revitalization can be done through:
1. Natural light . Cleansing focuses on specific points in the solar/lunar cycle, but we can recharge a crystal at any time. We should put him outside before dark and bring him back home before 11 am, so that he is not exposed too much to direct sunlight.
2. Running water (preferably water from a fountain or stream), in order to neutralize accumulated negativity. In this case, the stone must be completely submerged for one minute, this option is not valid for more fragile crystals, such as selenite.
3. Salt water . If we are close to the sea, we can consider taking home a container with this water, or we can mix table salt in running water. The crystals must be submerged for a few hours (maximum 48 hours). This method can only be used on harder stones.
4. Earth . Placing a crystal directly into the earth is a form of additional cleansing. It is recommended that it be buried in a garden or in a vase, and should be removed a day later and rinsed under running water. It must dry naturally.
