Currently, the term “sustainability” is a widely used concept in fashion – and thank goodness. However, when it comes to fabrics specifically, what are the truly sustainable options we have at our disposal? And why are they considered more ecological than others on the market?
Concern for the environment occurs when products are created with a pressing ecological conscience. This means that, ideally, all sustainable brands should have at least 80% of their items made from sustainable materials (such as organic cotton and closed-loop viscose, where chemicals are captured and reused more than once) and environmentally friendly processes (such as low-impact dyeing and climate neutrality).
