Synopsis:
For several years, Catarina Maia suffered from agonizing menstrual pain. It was as if, every month, he had a magic wand working inside his body, without mercy or mercy. He continually sought help. The doctors continually devalued it: she was a woman, she was menstruating and the pain was part of it. Everything was “normal”.

Was not. Nine years after her first menstruation, Catarina was diagnosed with endometriosis, an unknown and difficult to diagnose condition that affects one in ten people who menstruate. Determined to publicize the disease, she created the page “O Meu Utero”, a space for sharing about endometriosis and combating the normalization of menstrual pain.

Based on the most current scientific evidence, and using testimonies from doctors and specialists, the author now brings together, in a book, all the information she would like to have had access to, with useful and clear notions about what it is and what the symptoms of endometriosis, how and where to seek help and what treatments are available to combat the disease.
