Sleeping well is essential, but waking up well is no less important! The first few minutes after waking up, as well as what happens in our brain in those moments, can trigger an inhibitory or motivating process in the body that influences the way we spend the rest of the day.
Therefore, there is nothing like managing your thoughts well first thing in the morning. This moment of relaxation and morning motivation (informal meditative moment) has this purpose: to help you start the day with positive and loving thoughts, including with yourself. Take courage and listen. Start building strong and positive beliefs today.
How, when and where to listen:
(It is natural that, after listening, you may feel drowsy for longer than normal, but then it passes).
You can listen in bed, before getting up (it's always better with headphones). The eyes can be either closed or open, because it is not a “formal” meditative moment;
You can listen while you prepare breakfast or while you are eating or getting dressed;
Avoid listening while driving, as it can be distracting. In the audio, you are asked to inhale and exhale a few times and this act, if done while driving, can make you close your eyes (involuntarily) for milliseconds;
If possible, you can also listen at your workplace or on public transport;
If you can't listen first thing in the morning, try listening until lunchtime. Choose the best moment for you and open your mind and heart to this new practice that can help you have a more peaceful and happy day.
